Terms of Use
These are the rules for using Meantvo. We’ve kept them short and in plain English. By using the app or a Meantvo share link, you agree to them.
Who we are: Meantvo is run by Wade Curedale, an individual based in Perth, Western Australia (“we”, “us”).
1. Using Meantvo
- Meantvo is free. There are no ads and no in-app purchases.
- Keep your sign-in email secure — you’re responsible for activity on your account.
- Children should only use Meantvo with a parent or guardian’s permission and involvement. Parents and guardians are responsible for how their children use it.
- Anyone with your share link can view your list. Only share it with people you trust.
2. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
Meantvo is a family app. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not post or share anything that is:
- abusive, harassing, threatening, bullying or hateful
- sexually explicit, violent or otherwise offensive
- illegal, infringing someone else’s rights, spam or a scam
- someone else’s private information without their permission
You can report any comment and block any user in the app, or email support@meantvo.app. We review and act on reports within 24 hours. That can mean removing the content and suspending or permanently removing the user who posted it, without notice.
3. Your content
You own what you add to Meantvo — your picks, photos, notes and comments. You give us permission to store and display it only as needed to run the app (for example, showing your list to people you share it with). You confirm you have the right to post it.
4. Gifts, shops and money
- Meantvo doesn’t sell anything. Purchases happen on other stores’ websites, under their terms.
- Prices and photos fetched from store links may be out of date — always check the store.
- Group gifts work on the honour system. No money passes through Meantvo, and we aren’t responsible for payments between givers.
5. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Me → Your account → Delete account, then type DELETE) or by emailing us. Deletion is permanent. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. See our privacy policy for what happens to your data.
6. The fine print
- We work hard to keep Meantvo running and surprise-safe, but it’s provided “as is” and we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free.
- Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to resupplying the service.
- We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and you agree to the jurisdiction of its courts.
